Not to mention the duplicty:
- something is suckless (completely void of suck)
- something does suck less (still some suck in it)

These things are very different, and I think it's very, very hard to reach the 
first meaning
I think option 2 is the commonly accepted one here, but meaning 1 sounds most 
natural to me.
