As far as I can see, everyone in the thread agree on removing get-deps.sh from trunk (1.16.x). Whether to remove it from 1.15.x or only deprecate it, as in Daniel's four-step plan, is still open. I'm +1 on the removal once nothing relies on the script (like tools/buildbot/slaves/svn-x64-macosx/svnbuild.sh). With that resolved, removing get-deps.sh from 1.15.x looks good to me as well.
