Graham, you committed r817810, any thoughts on other changes  
required, besides
simply reverting the single commit?

I think reverting it as suggested is best for now, currently waiting  
for a plane at Schiphol so don't have time to do it now, but can  
probably do it later today unless someone beats me to it.
