Hi all, As we discussed in SPIP: Accelerating Apache Spark Release Cadence, we will start a new release plan (see also https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gBoZ4KH5zQUWpgK3M7zAN7p6Glz4S_e9bO3PvQA9sQs/edit?tab=t.0 ).
Here is TL;DR: - Quarterly minor releases (every 3 months, cut, e.g., from branch-4.x) - Annual major releases (every 12 months, cut from master) - Ad hoc maintenance releases (cut, e.g., from branch-4.2) Once we (or I) cut branch-4.x, we will: - Merge dependency changes into only master branch - New features and bug fixes go to branch-4.x - Bug fixes will go other branches as usual (e.g., branch-3.5, branch-4.1, branch-4,2)
