I guess one concern with Calcite SNAPSHOT releases is that they imply they'll 
be included in the next release, which may not be the case if they're still 
considered very experimental.

Alternatively, perhaps Julian can create a new version name with a classifier 
for streaming.

Then he could release SNAPSHOT artifacts for both the main/master code base as 
well as the streaming branch, no matter how experimental it is...
