Hi all, I'd like to raise a discussion on deprecating the pulsar-flink connector in the main repo.
The connector in the main repo is based on Flink 1.6.0. Flink has evolved to 1.10.0. There are main differences between Flink 1.6.0 and 1.10.0. It is hard for us to keep up the changes with upstream Flink versions. Since there is already a newer version pulsar-flink connector in Flink Packages ecosystem and FLIP-72 <https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/FLINK/FLIP-72%3A+Introduce+Pulsar+Connector> is tracking the process adding the connector to upstream. I would suggest updating the status of the connector and consider deprecating it to encourage people to consume the upstream one. So I created a PR to update the status of this connector: https://github.com/apache/pulsar/pull/6657 We should consider removing it at some point in the future. Let me know what you think.
