With this you have wonderfully explained and justified your request, but said exactly zero about what should be changed or improved in the OO UI. Two of the programs mentioned (MS Office and WPS Office) have a ribbon interface in any case. In Germany, for example, OpenOffice (specifically OOo) had a share of about 12% at its best, while MS Office had >70%. That is certainly true. I'm just afraid that no one here is willing to put significant developer capacity into the UI at the moment. More concretely, if someone would be interested in improving the UI, they could do it, but they have to find someone who is interested first.
