I don’t think it matters much which one is used or even if Tomcat is behind 
HTTPD.

If it works then I think it is fine.

opengrok.openoffice.org is good with me.

Xcode versions and Mojave?

I would not complain if we pushed the current version of MacOS to something 
more recent than 10.7 Lion.
