I have created Maven bundles for the four Java UNO jar files previously

ridl-4.1.2-bundle.jar [3], unoil.jar-4.1.2-bundle.jar [4]
and additionally officebean-4.1.2-bundle.jar [5]
Thanks!
The jar files were copied from my installed AOO 4.1.2 program/classes
directory. I added META-INF/LICENSE and NOTICE files.
Java source files used for *-4.1.2-sources.jar were copied from my
updated working copy of trunk.
Javadoc files used for *-4.1.2-javadoc.jar were generated from these
sources.
Why trunk? The right files (if you used a 4.1.2 build) are in
https://svn.apache.org/viewvc/openoffice/tags/AOO412/ which is
accessible with svn co
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/openoffice/tags/AOO412/ . Maybe the
files are exactly the same, but to be consistent you should use the
4.1.2 sources.
I thought these would be the most up to date. I understand now the
4.1.2 was on a branch and trunk may not be the latest.
No problem, I can grab copies from the 4.1.2 tag.
If all this looks okay I will call for vote on these.
Do I call for one vote on all or individually?
I don't think we need a formal vote. You've done a terrific work of
clarifying all details and conditions and it is clear that the package
is OK. It is a subset of already released stuff plus matching sources
(this is why I am asking you to use the official 4.1.2 sources) and
Javadoc files and README files. We've already gone through a full VOTE
for 4.1.2, so to me it would be OK to simply leave this discussion
open, address any objections and when done just publish it. If someone
wants a VOTE I won't oppose, but I consider this an additional
artifact based on 4.1.2, so I would say that a normal list discussion
and consensus is OK without wasting time in calling a VOTE, waiting
for results and computing a tally.
Are there prebuilt Javadoc files for the jars somewhere in the sources
or the release?
Not sure which README file you mean. I wrote ones to explain the missing
Java sources in the jar files.
You should consider writing a short post for
https://blogs.apache.org/ooo/ with details on this and the Netbeans
plugin. We can't assume that all users, even power users or
development-oriented people, read this list.
Yes, I could do that and also update the MavenBundles page on the wiki.
I may be able to also post about using the maven jars to create a Groovy
and Java UNO Client application that builds with Gradle.
Thanks for your help !!
Carl
