this behaviour is new, i first noticed it about two weeks ago.

Looking at an older log from the linux-buildbot log, e.g. [1] from one month ago the svn-step there set the "got_revision" property to the latest revision of the full ASF-repository too.

[1] http://ci.apache.org/builders/openoffice-linux32-nightly/builds/185/steps/svn/logs/stdio

AOO Help/Info shows: AOO420m1(Build:9800) - Rev. 1635806 for today's
build,
so i think the builds did not change the last two weeks?

The major and minor versions and the build number of the product are set manually and didn't change in the last two weeks. The latest AOO trunk revision remained at 1635806 in this timeframe.
