We can't help you if you don't provide the file. This is a mailing list and attachments are stripped. But please open a bug report in Bugzilla https://issues.apache.org/ooo (you will need to register) and attach your file there, with a meaningful summary/title like "Broken display of the attached file with OpenOffice 4.1.1". Please also mention a version of OpenOffice that displayed the file correctly (does it work correctly in 4.1.0? in 4.0.1? in 4.0.0?) so that we can investigate better.
