Have you tried uninstalling AOO, downloadong it again from http://www.openoffice.org/download/ and reinstalling? Chances are that if this error was a bug, other people would have reported it. So be sure you have the complete downlaod and installation running first. Back up any files first just to be sure they are safe and secure, uninstall AOO, download 4.01 from the AOO web site and install it. Open the files and see if the problem is still there. If it is send me a copy of a file and I can check it works here. If it does it is definitely something peculiar about your system set up if not you found a bug that needs to be fixed.
