I think the gist of it can essentially be found in the very last section -- *ASF and the future of open source. *Big projects, like OpenOffice, need a BIG open source provider, like Apache.* * So odd that that the "laissez-faire" aspect of the ASF in mentioned in the same breath as it's "stricture".
