Have you done GSoC before?  I mentored a student last year and found it to
be a rewarding experience.


I think the document generator/permuator idea would be very useful for this
project, but potentially also for other other projects that deal with
documents.  It also gives the opportunity for some original thinking that
might intrinsic research value as well.    So there is an engineering task,
but also some theoretical aspects to it.

As you develop your proposal, please feel free to post any questions you
might have.
