Here's my opinion.
I think that this ad thing "might" not be such a good idea... I can see
all sorts of commercial issues being raised such as "So why does Obama
not use the 'Good'ole American' company's software then?"
It's a bit like him not driving [being driven in] an American made car.
I doubt very much that you would get any support from the commercial
sponsors of OOo. Of course I could be wrong, but I'd assume it would
need explicit support from Obama himself and I guess he might have more
important things to think about right now...
BTW - I am from the UK, just for the record.
