I think that we need to underscore that OOo works well (more than
well) in most circumstances. I've been clarifying to interviewers
that for some users--super power users--there is no reason to deprive
them of their favourite drug. Rather, one should proceed gradually.
But Ou raises other points that we can attack (I'll make an effort),
namely, the fact that b/c OOo is open source it has real potential as
more people demand more of it and awaken developer (and developer
company) interest, unlike proprietary software, where more demand
does not really translate to a better user application, just more
profit.
