You're freezing the project. This is just a stupid business card. We don't have to go through an approval process to do that. Or to get an icon for a page or things like that.

I'm not freezing the project, I'm saying that this request and contest shoulded be done in [EMAIL PROTECTED] That's what the project for.

That way you could have more imput, more sugestions and the art project could develop later one official BC.

I dont want to sound authoritative, but by using the art designers that [EMAIL PROTECTED] has, we could make one business card what could fit all needs, for quite a long time. Rather than have someone, in next month, that gets a new business card contest for l10n, edu, or any other project.

Do you seriously expect another business card discussion to show up in the next few months?

Almost every NLC project needs BC or has it own, each one diferent from the other. You're just one more that needs BC. The [EMAIL PROTECTED] was created to help everyone and to not create duplicated needs and work for art.

One of the biggest problems with this project is this insane need to try to make one design that fits all purposes and is approved by everyone. For a project as large as OOo, this is a recipe for stagnation. This attitude is paralizing the project. That's why nothing ever gets done around here. And all this is done for some supposed benefit derived from a guy in India using the same picture on a business card as the one in Romania. You have to stop for a second and really ask your self, "does this really matter?" Is it worth slowing the process to a crawl and prevent things from getting done so that we can then try to force everyone to use the same stupid business card?

Look, the Portuguese have their own. French, also. So, you could have one too. Relax. But the point here is to have standards for this kind of requests.
