I don't think that's a problem in code - the javadoc defines this term and it's
very simple to understand - it's very unambiguous what it means in the code. I
think there are people that use it too - this is not some internal API - this
java code is what you use to explore zookeeper and look at the cluster state -
I know of lots of code outside the project that uses it and I'm against simply
changing these APIs that have now been in use for years just so we can have
getShard rather than the much less ambiguous getSlice.
