Oh, I tried it out, this works:
permission java.io.FilePermission "${tests.linedocsfile}", "read";
But you have to be sure that the path is resolving correctly (if its relative).
I will do a few more tests and commit this to master and 6.x + reconfigure
Jenkins Nightly to enable Security Manager again.
