messages in mark's pivotfail.log ?
The distributed query execution logic shouldn't be selecting any replicas that
don't have active status, so if it is, then the core executing the query either
has out-of-date state or there's a more serious bug at play. You might try
adding the following to the top of your doTest method just to make sure all the
test setup is stable before adding docs or running any queries:
waitForThingsToLevelOut(30000);
