bq. I think the main thing is that when the pivot codes is looking at a
ShardResponse, it should be able to say "this response doesn't contain a count
for the refinementX we asked for in the corrisponding ShardRequest, fail!" (as
opposed to know where i believe it reQueues it) ... we can leave worrying about
whether or not a ShardResponse was ever returned at all to the SearchHandler.
We mark a shard as having contributed a value already, and we have a list of
refinements we requested from the shard. All we'll need to do is iterate over
that list after merging the shard contribution and making sure that the shard
bit is set on that value. If it isn't, then we know we got a response from
that shard but that it didn't tell us what we asked it for, and therefore some
sort of error has occurred. We're working on implementing this now.
