Thanks Martijn, I'll try and merge your patch in with what I currently have
(diffing patches... blech ;-)
bq. I like group.limit and group.offset.
I'm already using group.limit as a limit on the number of groups.
collapse.threshold is the name that the original field collapsing patches used
- but that name doesn't make as much sense when thinking about grouping.
