We are discussing this too in our mailing list (I pointed straight to
Stefan's comment).

While "on/off" is understandable by Italians, I would never use it in
speaking or writing. Unfortunately the best translation
("attiva/disattiva", as in "attiva/disattiva completamento automatico")
is almost three times longer then the original English and this could
break layout and lead to unwanted verbosity. Also, "on/off" is used in
many dialogs and replacing it would need a bigger effort than just
fixing those two strings, so I believe we will need to properly discuss
it.
