As a person who has just recently started to work with QA, I can tell one thing for sure, and that is – TCM interface is way too complicated. For example, links in the tables are never explained (it's funny the they lack so little – just a tooltip explaining what they actually link to). Also, as far as I understood, I can assign the same test for the same tester to perform multiple times – it only depends on the assignment ID. I find this ineffective. I mean if we assume that the testers do their job well, then what's the point for them to waste their time on rerunning same tests? And here's a real world situation: I didn't notice the Release Sanity scenario existed, so I assigned each one of my testers 45 tests (Product(OpenOffice.org - Office Suites(3.0))) instead of 28 (Scenario(Release sanity scenario)). Now that I realized my mistake, I've deleted the assignments for those testers who haven't done anything, but what should I do with those who have started testing? It doesn't seem like I can do anything about that without losing the results... Another thing is that probably many people just like me didn't even know why their languages are in RC and not official. I think that perhaps the OOo download pages should actually list all those RC builds with a note that they are untested, and that testers are welcome?
