This is an intent to correspond the spring-data version dependency was
used. However, I don't see any problems to release with 2.0 version.
The scope `provided` for the spring-data dependency must be fixed for
sure prior to release.
I'll prepare a new RC for that.

This is correct. The root pom.xml file is the aggregation pom which
used for building all the extension and should be used to build a
single extension from sources.
The extension sources contains only single extension which should be
build from the extension directory.
