Hey Kevin, Prior to PMC private mailing / ASF trademark, perhaps we can start a conversation with the iceberg-rust <https://github.com/JanKaul/iceberg-rust> crate folks?
It looks like the project is active and perhaps we can discuss with them the goals to figure out the best way to leverage each others' work while also ensuring folks know the difference between projects (which may require renaming). I've had this happen to a number of other Rust and Python-based projects due to the excitement and faster code development cycles. WDYT?
