Apologies if I missed earlier discussions about this PR. Would it be possible to revive the reviews / exchange of ideas about the proposed AuthManager [1]?
I think it is quite relevant in light of the recent changes to the credentials configuration [2], even though it deals with the authentication of the REST API client against the Catalog Server and not against the Storage provider.
