Python support for Tables creation

Are there plans to provide python support  (JavaGateway etc.) for the
creation of the Tables (eg. HadoopTables), Schema and PartitionSpec?

As far as I can tell, that would be sufficient, as pyspark.sql provides
DataFrame support.
