[~cwsteinbach] has added a comment to HIVE-6806 asking whether there is any
more feedback on that patch. Unless there is additional feedback, it looks like
HIVE-6806 might get committed in the next few days. In that case, let's wait
for that patch to go in, in which case I will be able to remove the
StorageCustomHandler code from this patch.
