Hi folks, Pending any further feedback, I plan to merge PR#2263 and prepare a 5.0.0-beta-2 release in a few days time. The JLine3 repl still needs further work, but I think that can be done incrementally as we find time. It's in a quite usable state, but JLine3 has many advanced features and I don't have much test coverage on some of those features (well, it needs further tests on some core features too - but manual testing has been working well).
I'll also do a release bump for the GROOVY_4_0_X branch. Please get in any fixes and/or let me know if there are any issues. Thanks, Paul.
