Paul, Before you cut the Groovy 4 release, I should have a fix for 11414 (lambda return type check) today. Also, could you please consider reverting the change to 10415 (new bytecode for identity) in the Groovy 4 branch? This came out of nowhere and I would not expect to see bytecode changes that do not fix broken functionality in a point release.
