Hi Everyone, @Dave - We discussed this topic in the past weekly developer meeting [1]. We've copied the release artifacts to the incubator location & moved dev artifacts to the incubator location.
@Paul / @Soren, The old artifacts are still under the previous location until I can get the download links on the website working. This link currently works: https://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.lua/grails/core/7.0.0-M4/sources/apache-grails-7.0.0-M4-incubating-src.zip?action=download After the move, I'm assuming the link should change to: https://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.lua/incubator/grails/core/7.0.0-M4/sources/apache-grails-7.0.0-M4-incubating-src.zip?action=download But this link doesn't work. Does the `incubator` not need to exist in the path? If we remove the original location would it start working with the new location? -James [1] https://lists.apache.org/thread/wsxlhdh7qdq1vt9p46x941ohj1obtl8q On Fri, Jun 20, 2025 at 11:17 PM Dave Fisher <w...@apache.org> wrote: > > > > On Jun 20, 2025, at 5:28 PM, Paul King <pa...@asert.com.au> wrote: > > > > Hi Dave, > > > > We (Groovy as sponsors/mentors) are following the general Incubator > > procedures but updating as needed for Groovy being the sponsor: > > > > https://incubator.apache.org/policy/incubation.html > > > > That document has placeholders in some places, e.g. for disclaimer > wording > > it has > >> Apache Podling-Name is an effort undergoing incubation at The Apache > > Software Foundation (ASF), sponsored by the name of Apache TLP sponsor. > > > > So we advised Grails to put "Apache Groovy" in there in place of "the > name > > of Apache TLP sponsor". > > > > Other things are hard-coded as per the typical incubator setup, e.g. > > sending certain emails to private@incubator which we adapt to > > private@groovy.
