Mattias was kind enough to make changes on Scott's behalf to show this won't happen again. https://github.com/apache/grails-core/pull/16325 is the PR. If we can just document the breaking behavior for the old tasks, I think we can avoid reverting now that 9.7.1 is working on sdkman again.
