+1 paulk (binding) I checked: * "incubating" in distribution file names * NOTICE, LICENSE and DISCLAIMER files exist (notice file in grails-forge needs minor correction Groovy -> Grails in one spot, please fix for next release) * No unexpected binary files in src zip * Verified signatures and checksums for all zips * Build from source: once running "gradle wrapper" with a recent gradle, I could build using "./gradlew build -PskipTests" * Build from source for grails-forge: as above but on Windows it had spotless complaints until running spotlessApply, then all worked * For next release, please give more attention to NOTICE/LICENSE files in jar artifacts * I think additional guidance in the vote email on what to read to build from src would be useful for newbies
