Hi everyone, On behalf of the PMC, I'm happy to let you know that Xiqian Yu has become a new Flink Committer!
Since joining the Flink community in June 2023, Xiqian has become a core contributor and maintainer of the Flink CDC project, actively contributing to both code development and community engagement. He authored 189 pull requests (PRs) , reviewed 254 PRs. With over 120 commits , he significantly advanced the Flink CDC repository through features like YAML pipeline schema evolution and a robust transform module , introducing capabilities such as UDF support , shard table merging , and column projection . Beyond code contribution, Xiqian actively participated in discussions, contributing to 38 threads on the Flink dev and user mailing list, answering many user questions in the Flink CDC DingTalk group and Slack channel . He also improved project infrastructure by introducing GitHub PR automation workflows , ensuring JDK 11 compatibility , updating the Homebrew recipe , and migrating to JUnit frameworks to enhance code quality.
