Hi Martijn, I think we should have a reasonable time window to wait for the discussion response. Many proposals will halt if we have to wait for every reply indefinitely. Chesnay raised some concerns in the thread one month ago and no objections or feedback after that. Hang replied to all the questions and others also think the concerns were addressed. Hang also announced waiting for the final discussion feedback on 26 Dec 2022, but no feedback was received from Chesnay before the vote started on 4 Jan 2023. So I think the discussion has been settled.
I think we shouldn't block a FLIP indefinitely. Either having a clear waiting time or continuing the development of the FLIP. In the end, we still have a chance to revisit the FLIP before the 1.17 release if Chesnay comes back to the community.
