Hi, As an employee of Adobe and a contributor to Apache FlexJS, I think this new project fork is a good idea. Companies with investment in Flex applications that rely on the Flash Player to deliver their applications to their users will have to look for alternatives in the next couple of years.
Apache FlexJS provides this opportunity. With continued support from the community, we can chart a path to make the transition easier in a number of ways. For example, wiki articles that provide guidance for migration or new FlexJS framework kits that help bridge the gap between Apache Flex and FlexJS. And many other ideas will come from this.
