In the destination folder, is there an installer.log? Please post it somewhere.

Justin, is there a way to see what got logged for his failed attempts?

Subject: Re: New installer failures

Hi,

I tried to download FlexSDK 4.14.1 AIR18 using Apache Flex Installer 3.2
yesterday for twice, and I got this error.

[cid:5A2481A7-EB9B-4826-BCA9-8286B628E726]
[cid:D9AC223D-597E-4DCD-AFA0-6A81C2843C0D]

It was running on my MacBook Pro OS X Yosemite 10.10.3. I am from Malaysia.

Hope this information helps.

Thanks!

Joel

Hi,

How does GA handle spaces and newlines (\n) in the URL? It looks like we pass
it to
mx:HTML which I assume encodes it? Do other tracking URLs show spaces and
newlines (\n)?

None that I can find so I assume they are not handled. e.g. we also get a
couple of "Error#3003” and "Error#3004”.

In looking at the logs, is this the first release with the new logic that
test write-access to the temp directory?

Yes.

What does the tracker report, if anything, once we now tell the user that they
don’t have write access?

Nothing. We only track at the end when an error occurs or it successfully
installed something.

Could we be trading the old windows directory error message for this one?

The country distribution is different (far less en_US locales) so from that I
would guess that it’s a different error / combination of errors.

Thanks,
Justin
