Well I have submitted 3 proposals for ApacheCon - Core:

- Building FlexJS applications with Maven (Of course ;-) )
- An introduction to Apache Flex BlazeDS
- Flex Automation - Making automated front-end testing easy

I talked to Justin on submitting a joint-venture proposal for some fun Mobile +
BlazeDS + IoT talk but haven't discussed too much of the details yet. Think a
few of these combined talks of high level stuff could be fun.

I intentionally added talks for stuff I know little people are actually working
on but am willing to fill the gaps, if we need them filled for a track.

- FlexJS itself
- Mobile (you said, you would like that)
- FlexUnit
- ...

We are already registered as Track applicants and Justin and I am listed as
Track coordinators (http://wiki.apache.org/apachecon/). If we actually get a
track we would select and schedule the talks of that track (As far as I
understood it, but on the ApacheCon list the procedure described does have a
few holes). Unfortunately I have no Idea if the Linux Foundation pre-selects
the talks and lets us schedule what's left of if the LF decides on the track
and we get to fill it. Probably we will find out in about one month ;-)

Chris

It looks like a tentative yes from my side.

A few questions/thoughts in general:

1. What needs to happen for a Flex track to be included?
2. I plan to write proposals for FlexJS and Flex Mobile related talks.
Apart from Chris and I, are there anyone thinking of proposing talks (Alex,
Erik, Peter, Justin, Fred, Mike, etc.?) If yes, we will all need to
co-ordinate on the specifics.
3. It appears that ApacheCon:Core and ApacheCon:Big Data are two different
entities. If we get a track in Core, I don't think we need to worry about
including Big Data related stuff, is that correct?
4. There are some exciting things that Alex, Mike, Fred et al. are
working on. Any chance we will have some of it working before the
conference (Last week of September) If yes, we should include those topics
in our proposals.
5. Committers/PMC members living in Europe, do you think you can present
anything related to Flex at ApacheCon Europe?

Thanks,
Om
