OK. A little bit dramatic, and half those options exist anyway, as
previous releases have the same issues.

But, moving forward, let's start with this:

Alex, Justin, if you can each write one paragraph summarizing the
problem, and one paragraph with the most workable way out, please. I
will then try to figure out a solution that we can all agree upon, or
start a vote if we can't.
