Actually this is what I would like to do for the Mavenizer too ... that I am 
able to reference different compiler artifacts and use the classis as well as 
the falcon compiler.

I was looking for the answer you gave in the last paragraph. I don't want to 
replace the old compiler, I want Falcon(JX) to co-exist.

Can we adjust the scripts that create FlexJS to make this happen?
