Thank you Gian and Julian and also the Druid PMC for electing me as the new
chair. Echoing what Julian said, Gian has done an excellent job as PMC
chair, helping Apache Druid get to this stage of maturity. Thank you for
your service.

While to anyone outside PMC, the details are not visible, this process of
electing chair involves PMC members nominating and voting for themselves or
other PMC members. We intend to repeat this process every year.
