Hi @KangTheTerrible we've released CouchDB 2.0 and this change will need to
be rebased. I'm going to close the PR for now, but if you want to resubmit,
please feel free.
I strongly recommend you open a JIRA ticket for this new feature work, and
as @kxepal says we'd like to have tests with new features as well.
