I'm not sure whether the ASF owns the copyright (ie work for hire) or whether that remained with the creator of the film. M&PR (ie Joe Brockmeier) should have access to the original contract so they should be able to answer that. I'd expect though that, if we do own the copyright, we'd want to use it to enable things like translations.
