I'd be curious about how you think that... The generation 30+ *had* to communicate async: they wrote letters, long-distance phone calls were outrageously expensive (we else recalls waiting until the late evening to call a friend in another state because that was when the rates were cheaper?), etc... I still state that a preference for synch communications screams privilege and exclusivity. Cheers!
