Another thing of note is TAC is supporting this event in an effort to
help strengthen our mission outside the usual ApacheCon events.
If you are an Apache committer, and you cannot afford the travel/hotel
for FOSDEM yourself, you can apply for a TAC grant at
https://tac-apply.apache.org/fosdem/ and if approved, the travel
assistance committee will cover your expenses.
I will note that even though we have a big presence at FOSDEM, it is not
"our" event, and as such we cannot provide grants to people that require
a visa to enter Belgium. If you are a committer with a passport from the
62 allowed countries (EU + Visa Waiver countries such as USA, Canada,
Norway, Switzerland etc) you can apply until December 3rd 2019.
