I'm sorry to repeat myself, but I really must again assert the statement I made here: https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/cccd6055296db7177beb2c7718d15641def4c3d22a1c045b54d7e25f@%3Cdev.community.apache.org%3E This wouldn't be something handled "for Fundraising" as I do not agree that this is Fundraising's. My opinion is that this has been handled in the past as a combination of three hats: Treasurer, Accounting and ComDev. It's just as much a conflation to say that this is Fundraising's as it is to say that it's Treasurer's, Accounting's or ComDev's. No one party owns it and it's only a recipe for this exact type of panic to expect a single person to deal with it. This sounds terribly corporate of me to say, but we are suffering from a severe lack of clear roles and responsibilities on this. It caused a ruckus yesterday and we can do better than that. SO... that said... here's my world view to help clarify: - ComDev - Drives the effort each year of assigning mentors (and handles the paperwork?) - Treasurer - Addresses the financial aspects of the application process (I am not privy to the nature of this information to know if this can be someone else) - Accounting - Processes movement of funds (BAU) - Fundraising - Recognizes the donation (Or not? I don't see this in any of our public Thanks doco) Years 2017 and 2018 were quiet as they were reportedly run by Kevin via his Treasurer access. Presumably years 2006 - 2016 ran without as much noise... how were those years handled? -- Daniel Ruggeri --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@community.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@community.apache.org
