Thanks for taking the time to understand the points I was making. I get it.

Yeah I think during my quest to get approval to minimize my own work I opened
the door on a larger issue -- that namespaces are IMHO pretty poor tools to 
police trademarks of the org since they can be so easily changed and forked and
mimicked in all sorts of both unscrupulous and and unassuming/unintentional 
ways. 
But that's a trademarks issue and one in which I don't have a dog in the fight, 
nor
care to waste my energy on. You're right, it's not a ComDev issue.

As I just replied to Noirin, I'll soften my patch and suggest in the docs the 
use
of org.apacheextras as the namespace and I think that moves us forward. Thanks
