Because it's important that tags are immutable, and to to a lesser
degree to avoid creating spurious snapshot builds.
Yeah, it's ultimately so that I avoid having to constantly revert
commits that I make as go (that release:perform would do). Makes me
appreciate some more of the semantics of Git (but ignore that I said
that before I spur a real religious debate ;))
