I disagree, but it may be a matter of personal taste / habit. There is value, IMO in distinguishing the bugs that have been fixed in pre-release source from those that are fixed in a release. Fine by me if others want to do things differently though. Thanks, Sebb for the pointer. I used to do it incorrectly by turning off notification for the component while I did the changes one at a time. That is not possible any more because of the common notification structure and the fact I am no longer a JIRA admin. If those of us who do it agree to do bulk changes with muted notifications that will help. Thanks!
